The Rules
1. All events carried out in game must be delivered to the masses in media format.
2. All Pokémon used within the party must be caught by the Trainer playing the Game. Traded and gifted Pokémon with the exception of the Starter are considered to be inadmissible. Any team found to be using Pokémon brought in from an external source are considered to be immediately forfeited.
3. All Pokémon captured must be given unique names in the interest of creating a sense of care for the Pokémon in question.
4. The Trainer may only catch the first Pokémon they encounter within a given location, with locations being denoted anytime the name of the place changes. Ie. Route 2 and Hau'oli Cemetary are considered to be two separate locations. Failure to catch this first Pokémon, ie. Golisopod's Emergency Exit, or if the Pokémon faints, is considered to be a death. As such the Trainer may not catch anymore Pokémon within that location.
5. The Trainer may never flee from a battle regardless of situation or extenuating circumstances.
6. Should the Trainer have more than six Pokémon that they have caught, they may switch between these captured Pokémon as they like.
7. Should a Pokémon on the Trainer's team faint, it is considered dead and must be released into the wild.
8. Should all of the Trainer's Pokémon faint, or should they have no more Pokémon, their game is considered over.
9. The Starter Pokémon must be randomized through the use of the Trainer ID. The final numeral in the Trainer ID equates as follows: 1 - 3 Grass Starter, 4 - 6 Fire Starter, 7 - 9 Water Starter, 0 - Trainer's discretion.
10. The Master Challenge must be undertaken from the very start of the game, and the Trainer may not use any other external sources or media in order to aid or facilitate their gameplay.

Episode #2 - The Girl and Her Companion
The walk over to Iki Town was a pretty direct route from my house. Along the way up the trail I had only one thought in the face of all the time travel and dimensional jumping that seemed to have occured to my person over the course of the last twenty four hours. That question was why the good professor seemed adamant about telling me to go places with him only to leave me behind. It just didn't make any sense. I mean, why tell me to follow him and then leave me to my own devices?
While this thought gnawed at me, my feet found there way onto the dusted paths of Iki Town. The town was really more like a little village, with only a handful of homes and a wide, open space set up for festivals. Nearby, a little boy and his Rockruff played about in dirt, the sounds of their amusements warming the chilly night air. I ran my hands over my bare arms and looked about for Kukui.
"Hey there Cuz!"
Turning around with mild surprise, I spotted Kukui coming up right behind me.
"How did you do that," I asked him with a curious look.
"I haven't been able to find Hala," said Kukui, ignoring my question and pressing ever onward. "I think he might have gone up Mahalo Trail, maybe you should ..."
I was already running towards Mahalo Trail before the words could leave his mouth. I remembered this particular part of my past journey very well. This was the moment where I first met Lillie. In my excitement I made a mad dash for the start of Mahalo Trail because I knew that I would be just missing her as she departed if I didn't hurry. I could barely contain myself. I had to see her face once more.
As I rounded the edge of the arena that marked the Festival area, I was momentarily stunned to see Lillie disappearing up the Mahalo Trail. Somehow, even with my advanced foresight, she was still ahead of me. It didn't make any sense. If events were going to play out as they had before, then I should have been able to catch up with her before she'd even start on the trail, and yet here I was falling behind yet again.
It occured to me then that perhaps there were two possible answers for this phenomenon. The first was that I had done something marginally different, and now events were lagging behind themselves. The second, and far worse possibility was that perhaps, somethings were immutable by the laws of fate. Perhaps, in this very moment, Lillie was always meant to be just a little bit ahead of me. Close, but forever out of reach.
With that particularly unpleasant thought hanging over my head, I began to make my way up the Mahalo Trail as well as I recalled from my past experience. If I had done something to make thing different this time around, maybe doing them as I had before would fix whatever I'd done wrong earlier. Following the winding path up the mountain side, I contemplated every step that I took with a new found concern.
As I neared the top I recalled what I had experienced before. Before me stood Lillie, her back to me, and beyond her was Cosmog on the rickety bridge that connected the Ruins of Conflict with the Trail. Surrounding the poor Pokemon was a flock of vicious Spearow, with each bird taking a short dive at Cosmog. At the sound of my sneakers scuffing over the gravel, Lillie turned around and looked straight at me.
It was like being doused in cold water. Here she was yet again, in the flesh, and not off on a journey in Kanto. It was almost a dream come true if not for her next words.
"Please, you have to help him," she cried.
